Catherine Gastmeier's starter poem © 2002 I've heard it said a thousand times With fancy words and cleaver rhymes In sad songs that the lonely sing Love is an illusive thing this can now go in several directions - to - but we found love or I have never had a true love or it could stay with theories about love Different idea I close my eyes and I can see the places that are you and me I reach out ...but you're not there these memories are so unfair Tell me then how I can say It's better, It's better this way What do the lonely people do I am alone in being blue Is there a time when heart ache fades When can I end this long charade And when is it that I will say Its better, It's better this way or it could go this way Let me end this fools game Let the time turn back again let my world be filled with you Let my heart know love that's true Then I can smile reach out and say yes, it's better this way
